Qualifications for driving a tractor

Anyone who uses agricultural and forestry tractors must, pursuant to art. 73, paragraph 5, be in possession of an adequate and specific training and instruction, in order to enable the use of equipment in an appropriate and safe manner, also in relation to the risks that may be caused to other people.

The training is certified by the qualifications for workers in the agricultural sector, in force since 31/12/2015.
The courses, whose implementation is defined by the State-Regions Agreement of February 22, 2012, can be arranged by public trainers (Regions and Autonomous Provinces, Ministry of Labor, INAIL), employer associations, professional bodies and accredited private entities.
The courses include theoretical lessons and practical exercises carried out in a test field whose specific features are identified by law.
